How will this work?

I’m not promising a random draw; everyone who applies won’t have an equal chance.

I will pick the website/person that I’m most interested in engaging with – for whatever reason!

Maybe you’re a florist who could brighten my house? A baker who makes things I absolutely don’t need but definitely want… A tradesperson whose services I’ve been putting off! A gardener who could tidy up my garden, or a cleaner who could make my messy house sparkle… Or perhaps you do something I’ve never even thought of! I’ll be looking for local independent businesses with a genuine need for a website and an interesting product or service to barter.

I’ll choose one business each month.

Ground Rules

  • Applications for a trade must be received by midnight on the final day of the month to be considered for the following month.
  • Gloucestershire based businesses only.
  • Website must fit within the 5 page specification.
  • Goods/services offered must be mutually agreed before work begins.
  • If none of the applications appeal to me, then I reserve the right to not make a trade that month. There’s no obligation for me to accept your offer – or ANY offer.
  • I will choose trades either because you have something I genuinely want, or I want to support you and think I can help your business.
  • You’re welcome to try again the following month if unsuccessful.
  • The aim is to complete the build within the month following the deadline, but this will depend on how quickly agreement is reached on the trade details/ provision of website content.
  • The exact website specification and the goods/ services exchanged will be agreed between us before anything starts. The website isn’t considered fully delivered/ transferred until the agreed consideration has been supplied.
