Every business is different
Which is why every website Should Be too
Here are a few examples of projects I’ve worked on
Broken website – abandoned by previous developer

Free website health check identified the error with the old site – sadly could not be repaired, but content was salvaged.

Community Project rebranded
New name, needed a new website with a fresh new look.
Site needed to be easy to navigate, with a linked calendar and social media feed.
No bells and whistles – just information presented clearly
A no-nonsense, authoritative and trustworthy style was needed here – conveying important information simply and effectively.

Silly, funny, joke website – flush your cares away!
A bathroom inspired palette, a quirky avatar and a very simple 5 page website with emails – completed and live in under a week.
Every website tells a story…
Left in the Lurch By Another Developer…
Portajet.co.uk
Carl explained that he’d had the website for over a decade, but it was tired and the content needed updating. Worse news was that some of the pages were no longer displaying correctly and were showing gobbledegook code instead – including the Contact Form Page!
The original developer had sold their business to another agency – who were refusing to help.
I initially did a free website health check.
I was able to identify the cause of the gobbledegook issue – the original developer had used software which is no longer available. Unfortunately, this meant the content wasn’t salvageable, and so a full rebuild was required.
The company’s well established social media feeds had a wealth of information about their work – which provided excellent content for the new site, and amazing before and after shots that perfectly illustrated the great work the company does.
As cleaning is a very visual service, I utilised multiple galleries to showcase the different aspects of the business, and build confidence in the quality of the work. I rationalised the site layout to make it simpler to navigate, and found customer feedback from the business’s Google Reviews to support the images.
A social media feed on the homepage was established to keep the content fresh, while keeping the rest of the site low maintenance for many years to come.

“I knew how much an improvement the new website was – what I didn’t expect was the uplift in customer enquiries straight away.”
Sharing Is Caring…
IncredibleSurplus.org
Originally called The Real Junk Food Project Birmingham – a food waste redistribution project wanted to rebrand and have its own identity. The old website was also very text heavy and not very visually appealing.
A graphic designer provided a bright new ‘Incredible Surplus’ logo and graphical elements, and I turned these into page spacers and icons to brighten up the pages.
A widget was sited on every page to show the upcoming calendar events, a link for donations was added, quotes from customers from Facebook and Google reviews were sprinkled around, and a new volunteer password-protected area was set up to allow essential documents to be found and downloaded easily. Interactive Google maps were added to venue pages.
